It’s been about five months since my surgery. I had double jaw surgery along with chin correction due to a protruding jaw.
Because I tend to swell easily, the swelling during the first month went down a bit slower than average, which worried me at first. However, during follow-up consultations, the doctor and staff reassured me that everything was within the normal range, which helped me feel much more at ease.
After about two months, the swelling started to go down much faster. Even though the swelling took time, the bones healed relatively quickly, and I was told that pin removal could potentially be done a bit earlier. Hearing that recovery was progressing well really eased my mind.
Now, five months in, sensation has mostly returned, and I like how my face looks softer and more balanced. Daily life feels completely normal—I eat and speak without any discomfort. The staff were always kind and communication was smooth, which made the whole process easier.
