It's almost been a year since my surgery, and I find myself reminiscing about that time. At first, I was really conscious of the implants, and the overall discomfort was more than just a minor issue. Lying down felt heavy, and making facial expressions felt awkward.
However, after about six months, I honestly didn't feel much pain anymore. It was like I would go about my daily life and occasionally think, "Oh right, I had surgery." So, I guess it really takes a minimum of six months to adjust… I reflect on my initial impatience with myself.
Now, both the implants and the contouring feel settled, and I don't find daily life uncomfortable at all. I'm quite satisfied with the results of the bone surgery, and the combination of the implants, double chin liposuction, and muscle tightening turned out to be better than I expected. These surgeries were surprisingly effective.
And let me clarify, getting implants doesn’t magically erase laugh lines… that's not something to expect. But compared to before, there's more volume in my jawline, giving my face a more three-dimensional look and making me appear a bit younger. I feel like I look about three years less old? The laugh lines have also softened quite a bit.
After six months post-surgery at ㅇㅇㄹㅁ, I really didn’t talk about pain or anything like that anymore. Once that period passed, it felt like, "Oh, it's finally over."
Thanks to Dr. Choi Sang-kyu for the great surgery! 🩵
