I originally thought I would need a revision for my nose, but I really got hooked on the idea of jawline contouring later on… One day, I realized that these days, I’m noticing pretty face shapes more than just the eyes and nose. So, while looking into both nose revision and jawline contouring, I ended up going with Airumi, and the doctor who took care of me was Dr. Bae Jae-hyun.
But even right before the surgery, I found myself saying something funny during the consultation. I said, “I don’t want anything too excessive, but I also don’t want to look like I’ve had surgery at all.” I thought to myself, what am I even saying? Yet, there I was, lying on the operating table… I got my cheekbones, jawline, and even double chin liposuction all done at once.
Honestly, right after the surgery, I couldn’t tell much of a difference. Since I had both jawline contouring and double chin work done at the same time, my face just felt really puffy… I couldn’t see the before-and-after difference; I just felt like a little puffer fish. Even now, it's been just over a month, and there's still quite a bit of swelling, so I have to keep that in mind.
But when they took off the taping and bandages, and after a few days as the swelling went down a bit, I started to feel a change. It didn’t feel like my bones were excessively shaved down; it felt really naturally refined. It’s definitely not a “dog jaw” look, and I think it’s fallen into place nicely, so I’m quite satisfied even at this stage.
They say it takes about 4 to 6 months for jawline swelling to settle down. Even though I still have quite a way to go, I’m already liking my face shape, so I’m looking forward to how it will settle further. As for the doctor… well, what can I say? I think he really understood my style well, and I’m happy with that. ❤️
