I've always heard that nose surgery is really painful, so I was just thinking about it. But one day, I suddenly thought, "Why not look into some clinics?" I ended up comparing a few places and went for consultations. Then I had a chat with Dr. Lee Kang-woo at Mind Plastic Surgery, and it felt like he totally understood the nose style I had in mind without me even saying anything. So, without overthinking, I just booked the appointment right there.
On the day of the surgery, lying there, I was honestly the most nervous. But once it was done, it was surprisingly different from what I had imagined—“nose surgery is super painful”—it didn’t hurt as much as I expected, which left me a bit confused. I was able to go back to my daily life almost immediately with hardly any discomfort, which was even more amazing. Of course, it was a bit funny looking in the mirror with nasal packing and a splint on, though.
The highlight was when they took out the nasal packing and removed the splint... it felt like a whole new world. At first, it didn’t seem like my face, and with the swelling, it felt a bit awkward. But as time went by, it settled in, and now it feels completely natural, almost like it was always my nose. I think it turned out beautifully, and my satisfaction just keeps increasing. It feels like I’ve been reborn… I know it sounds cheesy, but that’s really how it feels.
It wasn't just about the surgery; they also kept up with post-op care like swelling lasers and skin treatments, which I appreciated. It didn’t feel rushed or superficial; they were really thorough, which made me trust them even more. Normally, I wouldn’t want to go through a revision surgery if I can help it—I really don’t want to be on the operating table again—but if I ever find myself in that situation, I’d probably come back here without hesitation.
The atmosphere of the clinic was great, too. Dr. Lee, as well as the consultation manager and the front desk staff, were all so friendly, so I never felt uncomfortable going there. If I were to rate the service, I’d give it a perfect score.
If I had known a single nose change could alter my image this much, I would have done it way earlier… I feel a bit regretful thinking about it now, like, "Why didn’t I do this sooner?" But I’m just glad I did it at last, so thank you, Doctor! 🙏
