In the past, whenever I took a photo, I would always look at my jawline first. My jaw is a bit square, and the lower part of my face feels heavy overall, so taking frontal photos made my face look even more dull. On top of that, I had excess fat under my chin, so it was really stressful that the lines would look saggy even if I tilted my head down just a little. I used to constantly retouch my face to slim my jaw and cover it with my hair, but eventually, I decided to get double jaw surgery, jawline contouring, and double chin treatment all at once. Before the surgery, the angle below my ears was quite prominent, and the line extending to the tip of my chin felt stiff, but now it feels much softer and more refined overall. I think the biggest change is the proportion of my lower face; since the line around my mouth connects naturally with the tip of my chin, the whole vibe looks different. The square jaw area looks less angular than before, and the area under my chin is neatly trimmed, so I am very satisfied when I look at my profile. Since it was a major surgery, I was scared and worried at first, but as the swelling went down and I saw the lines changing, I found myself constantly looking in the mirror. It’s really convenient that I don’t have to cover my chin or start with retouching like I used to when taking photos these days haha. People around me often tell me that my facial features look much more defined, so it makes me feel good for no reason.
