I decided to undergo revision surgery because my previous double jaw surgery didn’t give me the result I had hoped for. What I wanted this time was a shorter midface and a chin that comes forward naturally, along with improving my protruding mouth and overall E-line. I chose to trust the finer details to the doctor’s experience rather than trying to control everything myself.
During the consultation, the doctor came across as calm and gentle, which gave me a sense of reassurance when discussing bone-related surgery. After looking at the photos I brought, the doctor carefully identified my goals and explained how my facial structure could be adjusted and which approach would be suitable. Seeing a simulation of my current face and the post-surgery result made it much easier to visualize the outcome.
There can be some waiting time, so it’s better to visit with a flexible schedule.
After waking up from anesthesia, I felt briefly dizzy and groggy, but that passed fairly quickly. The pain and discomfort were less intense than expected, and even the dryness in my throat improved sooner than I thought. As I continue recovering, I can feel gradual changes in my body, which makes me curious about how things will progress.
