Every time I took a photo, the first thing I would check wasn't my face, but my chin... Whenever I saw a camera pointed at me, I would automatically tilt my head up, right? When shot from below, my double chin would look so prominent, so whenever it was time for a group photo, I'd find myself hiding in the back.
I didn’t even have to lose weight, but despite trying to diet several times, the fat under my chin just wouldn’t budge. Eventually, I started considering cosmetic procedures. At first, I thought about just getting liposuction, but as I did more research, I found out that combining it with muscle tightening could help maintain the results better, which made me lean towards that option.
I visited several clinics for consultations, and the final place I went to stood out because they didn’t just talk about the positives; they also mentioned drawbacks and things to be cautious about, which made me trust them more. They showed me plenty of before-and-after photos, and I thought, “Ah, they've done this before.”
I still remember looking in the mirror after the surgery. They had warned me about the swelling, so I thought I’d have to wait to see the final results, but I immediately noticed a difference in my jawline, and I was like, “Whoa!” Even with the swelling, the line of my double chin looked different from before, so I felt relieved that I hadn’t made a mistake.
After that, as the swelling went down, the shape started to refine. At first, it felt strange to look in the mirror, but as time passed, my jawline became more defined, and it started to feel like my own face again. At some point, I found myself taking photos without worrying about my double chin, and it made me chuckle.
These days, people around me often say, “I thought you lost a lot of weight,” so when I can’t explain it well, I just brush it off… Anyway, my jawline has become much sharper compared to before, making me feel much more comfortable both when taking photos and meeting people.
