I used to have a low and round nose, so every time I took a photo, it was always the first thing to show. I would spend a lot of time trying to find the right angle and feel a bit self-conscious while smiling. But now, I just set the camera up and smile freely. I can’t even imagine how I used to feel about it…
I had the surgery with Dr. Lee Yong-taek at Mind Plastic Surgery. I’d heard so many people say that nose surgery is painful and makes it hard to breathe, so I was really nervous going in. But honestly, after the surgery, I haven’t felt any significant pain since. Even on the same day and afterward, I kept thinking, “Wait, isn’t it supposed to hurt more?”
There was a bit of swelling at first, but over time, I could see it gradually going down. Every day when I looked in the mirror, I felt like my nose was settling into shape, which was oddly enjoyable. People around me also said my face looked sharper, which boosted my confidence.
It feels like the worry that had been lingering in the back of my mind because of my nose has disappeared. Now, when someone suggests taking a photo, my first thought is, “Sure, let’s do it!” I often find myself wondering why I spent so long worrying about it.
