During the consultation, I spent some time thinking about the engraftment method. There were different options explained, but after listening carefully, I decided to proceed with the stem cell approach. The coordinator explained everything calmly, which helped me organize my thoughts.
After that, the doctor came in and checked my condition using ultrasound, then discussed the general plan for the procedure. We also talked about balance between the two sides, and I mentioned the side that I personally felt was smaller. Since this was my first surgery ever, even the design process felt unfamiliar and surprisingly interesting.
I remember entering the operating room, but the next thing I knew, I was already in the recovery room. It was warm and comfortable, and I later learned that the nurses had carefully moved me there. When I mentioned feeling thirsty, they brought water right away. The doctor also stopped by to briefly explain that everything had gone smoothly.
I was guided through wearing compression garments and post-care instructions, all explained in a clear and kind manner. As this is still the early recovery stage, I’m simply observing how things settle naturally over time.
