Even though I usually wear heavy lower outer eye makeup, my eyes never looked as open as I expected, and if the makeup wasn’t done perfectly, they actually looked more closed off. I’ve also always had slightly upturned eyes, so I wanted to lower them just a bit.
During the consultation, I asked a lot of questions, but the consultant explained everything patiently without showing any discomfort. After that, I had a more detailed discussion with Dr. Kim Jin-hyung, comparing natural and more defined eye looks that were realistically possible for my eyes. That process made things very clear, so I went ahead and booked the surgery right away.
Right after surgery, the white part of my eyes was swollen, making it hard to close them fully and causing some dryness. It was uncomfortable, but I was told this was normal. With consistent cold compresses, the swelling went down faster than expected. After the stitches were removed, bruising and swelling subsided quickly, and daily life wasn’t much of an issue. Warm compresses were especially important.
For anyone feeling their lower outer corners look blocked or who’s tired of searching everywhere, a consultation might be worth considering. The early stage can look slightly overcorrected, but after a few weeks, it settles naturally. Overall, I’m satisfied.
