It's been almost two months since my surgery, so I thought I’d finally write about it.
Before the surgery, my measurements were:
Chest circumference 77 / breast width 13 (left and right) / bra size 75B,
and I got Motiva implants—320cc on the left and 285cc on the right! The surgery date was June 21.
I didn’t have a particularly small chest to begin with, but I felt the shape and size were just a bit off and disappointing… I pondered for a long time and finally thought, “Why not just get a consultation?” So I went to Melon.
I had some basic volume and was recommended implants in the 265-300cc range,
and they said I could choose whatever I wanted, but I had already set my heart on Motiva, so I just went straight for it—definitely a predetermined choice.
However, the biggest dilemma was whether to go for under or over the muscle…
I kept discussing this during the consultation, and they mentioned that I could change my mind on the day of the surgery if I was really unsure. Hearing that made me feel a bit more at ease, so I just scheduled the date.
Both the doctor and the coordinator were really attentive to all my questions and even listened to my unnecessary worries,
which helped me overcome my fears and actually book the surgery.
On the morning of the surgery, even in the car, I was thinking,
“Should I just run away…? I’m going to have the surgery, but under or over the muscle? What should I do…”
I was worried about the pain as I enjoy being active,
and I had heard so many stories about how difficult it was post-surgery from people around me.
In the end, I decided to go for it, thinking, “If I don’t do it now, I’ll never do it.” Since I'm still single, I chose over the muscle!
I was nervous lying down, but it was amazing to just wake up and find it all done.
Within just 2-3 hours at the hospital, I was sitting up in the recovery room feeling fine.
Honestly, right after the surgery, I was thinking, “Is this really not painful?”
Aside from the tightness from the compression bandage and the supportive bra, I didn’t feel much pain at all.
After resting at the hospital, I went home, had dinner, and collapsed on the sofa to sleep,
and the next morning I felt… okay? Getting up wasn’t difficult at all…
So starting from the second day, I went back to sleeping in bed.
On the second day, I went back to the hospital for a check-up, and the doctor mentioned that I probably didn’t need to keep wearing the supportive band, so I took it off right away.
Honestly, I didn’t have much discomfort,
and when I went for a follow-up a week later, I was getting up and lying down easily, which surprised the staff.
(Though I shouldn’t have, I did sneak in a bit of driving from the second day… not a secret anymore!)
However, in the beginning, my chest felt really big and hard due to swelling,
and I kept worrying, “Did I go too big…? What if the swelling doesn’t go down…”
But now, two months later, the swelling has gone down quite a bit,
and when I touch it, it feels really soft… Is this the Motiva texture?
I was a bit shy about taking photos, so I didn’t take too many,
but I saved at least a few to compare before and after.
Even just wearing a t-shirt feels different,
and my friends are calling my chest “goddess” now… saying it's beautiful.
I thought some might be curious about the scars,
but I don’t really mind them even when wearing tank tops,
and every time I look in the mirror, I think, “The incision looks clean.”
The doctor must have really skilled hands…
The experience varies for everyone, so not everyone will have it as easy as I did,
but I didn’t struggle much, and all I can think is,
“Why did I worry for so long…?”
Melon really took care of everything, from anesthesia to surgery and aftercare, which made me feel at ease both before and after the surgery. 💚
Once the swelling goes down even more and the texture settles, I plan to try on some pretty lingerie.
If there are any changes later on, I’ll write about it again!
