To start off, it's been just two weeks since my revision surgery, and when I wear my bangs down, people hardly recognize me. I thought it would be really obvious for a few months like the first surgery, so I even cut my bangs short in advance… but now I feel like that was unnecessary. The line looks surprisingly natural, and I'm thinking, “At this point, I could just go about my day as usual…”
Originally, I had my first surgery at a different clinic last February. What really threw me off was the density and the line itself, which looked like it was drawn with a compass—totally round. Everyone kept asking, “Did you get a hair transplant?” so eventually I started thinning my bangs out at home, which was a mess. I was so stressed that I even tried laser hair removal at the clinic, but that just irritated my scalp without really helping… It felt like everything was just making my hair worse, and I regretted it even more.
You can't really tell from photos, but that first surgery was a disaster. Thick hairs were just randomly planted in the front line, with strands growing in all directions. No matter how I tried to style it with a blow dryer, it just wouldn't cooperate. Especially under bright indoor lighting, my scalp was clearly visible, and every time I looked in the mirror, I just sighed. I kept telling myself, “It'll look natural over time…” but after waiting over a year and seeing no improvement, I finally decided to go for the revision.
What I realized was that for women's hairlines, it’s not just about filling in density. It’s not enough to just fill in the area; you really need to design the line properly. So when I was looking for a place for revision surgery, I paid a lot of attention to the design aspect. The reason I chose Mo & Line was that during the consultation, it wasn't just “We’ll fill in the density~” but they took a very detailed look at the shape, curves, and thickness of the hair. The director, being a plastic surgeon, clearly had a different sense for shaping the line.
On the day of the revision surgery, as soon as it was over and I looked in the mirror, the line felt completely different from the first surgery. Almost all of the thick and awkward hairs that were originally implanted were removed, and they filled it in with much finer and more natural-looking hairs. Even though it’s only been two weeks, when I look in the mirror, I think, “At this point, it feels like my natural hair!” During the first surgery, I definitely needed bangs for at least a few months.
Since the first surgery turned out so poorly, it wasn't just the money that felt wasted; the time was the biggest loss. Hair transplants don’t show immediate results, and I spent almost two years with unnatural hair… That time felt so wasted, and going through two surgeries took a toll on my body too.
At Mo & Line, they provided thorough explanations from the consultation to the surgery and post-operative care, so I genuinely feel that choosing to have my revision here was a great decision. Since I had a rough experience at the first clinic, I hope everyone can avoid going through two surgeries like I did, and focus on a proper design right from the start.
