I used to be really stressed about my face shape. I have a bit of a square jaw, and with my prominent cheekbones, my face always looked wider than it actually is in photos. Whether from the front or the side, the lines didn't flow smoothly, so I often covered them with my hair. After much deliberation, I finally decided to get both jaw reduction and cheekbone reduction done together. Before the surgery, the angle below my ears was quite pronounced, so my face shape looked a bit angular. But now, my jawline feels much more natural, and with the cheekbones being refined, the vibe of my side profile has changed dramatically. Before, I used to notice the width of my face first, but now the overall proportions feel much cleaner. I wasn't completely free of worries, but watching the lines change as the swelling went down made me want to keep taking pictures for no reason. These days, I worry less about tying my hair up than before, and the most comfortable thing is not obsessing over angles when taking selfies. People around me are also frequently telling me that my impression has softened!
